There are many ways to create websites. The simplest one is to use a special editing software which allows you to create them. Most popular programs are Microsoft Frontpage and Macromedia Dreamweaver. They allow you to create pages just like you were creating Word documents - you type text, insert images, tables etc, and the program creates the page which looks exactly as you wrote it. This is called WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).

Another possibility is to learn HTML and code your pages directly in it. You may do this if you are more experienced user, as this is much more sophisticated and time-consuming. Finally, you can hire a company to create your web site for you. There are many companies which provide this service, and you can also pay for updating and maintaing your website on regular basis.
