Save time by using templates for your next web site. Your site will look better than ever!
Nameservers are special computers accessible on the Internet which tell where a website is located. They are responsible for a special process called resolving. During this process, a domain name of your website is taken, and a physical address is obtained. This is similar to a yellow pages directory - when you want to find the company called "Joe's Computers", you look in a directory and see that it's located on 41, Main Street. Then you can go to this address and visit the store.
The same process happens when a visitor comes to your website. He enters your domain name into the Internet browser, and the browser queries the nameservers about the location of the server, where your website is put. Then it connects to the server and retrieves the page.
What is important to you is that you need to provide names of the nameservers when you buy or configure your domain name. These names are obtained from your hosting company when you sign up for hosting service.
